Johnny Depp is such a huge fan of the 1960s gothic series Dark Shadows, that he acquired the rights to the project in 2007. Since then rumours have been circulating about a film project which Depp recently confirmed, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The famous actor will star in the film, which will be directed by Tim Burton. Depp feels that this is a perfect project for the director, whom he has worked with nearly a dozen times.
Burton must complete his work on the film Alice in Wonderland before beginning this new project. Depp also stars in this film as the Mad Hatter, which is expected to be released on March 5, 2010.
Fans for the actor can also see Depp in the film Public Enemies which will hit theatres on Wednesday, July 1.
