Kid Rock Wants Album to Be Perfect

Kid Rock wants his forthcoming album to be nothing less than perfect.

Kid Rock has set the bar extra high for his next album, and wants his disc to be flawless from beginning to end.

His producer, Rick Rubin, wanted to ensure that the album doesn’t hit store shelves until each song meets the highest standards.

The singer initially planned to release the album during the last three months of 2009, however his astounding success with 2007’s Rock N Roll Jesus has pushed the rocker to strive for an album of equal or greater quality. "It’s hard to follow big records with another big record," he said.

Rock spoke about having 18 to 20 songs ready for the disc, but said that he has to go over them with Rubin in the coming weeks to figure out which ones take priority.

The star heads on tour this summer, and could be taking his songs on a road test to gauge the crowd’s reaction.
