The Hollywood Reporter announced that Preston has accepted a role in the film The Last Song. The 46-year-old actress will be playing the mother of Miley Cyrus’s character.
This will be the first contract Preston has taken on since the death of her son, Jett Travolta, who died on January 2 during a family trip to the Bahamas.
Preston will head to Savannah, Georgia to shoot The Last Song, starring opposite Greg Kinnear, who plays Cyrus’s father. Filming has already begun starting with Cyrus.
