The Fantastic Four star got into trouble with authorities after she helped post signs of sharks on electrical boxes, a billboard and a bridge in Oklahoma, where she is currently filming The Killer Inside Me.
Alba was involved in the vandalism campaign to raise awareness about the great white shark population, which is an endangered species. However, she apologised a few hours later for having used public property.
The 28-year-old star asked for Oklahoma’s forgiveness through a press release, stating, "I got involved in something I should have had no part of. I realize that I should have used better judgment and I regret not thinking things through before I made a spontaneous and ill-advised decision to let myself get involved with the people behind this campaign."
