According to FemaleFirst, Fawcett and Ryan O’Neal were on the verge of getting married when she was receiving cancer treatment in Germany.
The actress, whose anal cancer has spread to her liver, and her partner were keen on the idea of getting married recently, but didn’t have enough time to plan the event.
A friend of the family revealed, "They thought about getting married in Germany. They had me check into all the laws to see if that was possible. But we just didn’t get it together in time."
Even though the couple was unable to wed, their close ones say that they wouldn’t be surprised if the lovebirds were to tie the knot in the near future.
Last month, O’Neal admitted that is terrified at the idea of living without his better half. "I won’t know this world without her. Cancer is an insidious enemy," he said.
