People.com reported that Hudson is expecting a child, after a baby shower was held in her honour in downtown Chicago.
Felicia Fields, an old family friend, confirmed that the event took place on Saturday (May 30). She said, "It was a baby shower, a quiet gathering of friends and mostly family. They’re really trying to keep it kind of quiet."
When Fields was asked if the singer received gifts in pink or blue, she said, "They do not know the sex yet, more yellow."
The star’s representative has not commented on the news. Hudson, 27, recently became engaged to her boyfriend, David Otunga.
