He will join John Cusack and Rob Corddry (What Happens in Vegas) in the comedy, which is currently filming in Vancouver.

The film tells the story of a group of dissatisfied friends who meet up at the ski chalet where they partied as teenagers. They all hop into a magical hot tub time machine, which will take them back to 1987.

Chase plays a mysterious repairman who offers pearls of wisdom to his friends, and is undoubtedly behind the time travel.

The funny man has two films in postproduction, Jack and the Beanstalk and Not Another Not Another Movie. Neither one has a release date yet.

The actor could also be resuming his role as investigative journalist Irwin "Fletch" Fletcher. The Weinstein Co. plans to revive the franchise Fletch. This time, his character will pass the torch to his nephew journalist.
