The Italian designer announced today (May 21) that he contracted hepatitis and that he is currently recuperating.
He wants to relieve people of their worries that have arisen about the state of his health in recent days.
"I have in fact suffered from hepatitis by poisoning, which, certainly is not a rare illness. Nevertheless it is one which requires some time for a complete recovery," Armani said.
He also stressed that his company is carrying on as usual and that he hasn’t given up his reign.
The fashion mogul is expected to present his new men’s collection for his labels, Giorgio Armani and Emporio Armani, during Fashion Week in June.
