In an interview with EW’s Music Mix, guitarist Joe Perry spoke about the delay of Aerosmith’s album release and their next tour with ZZ Top.
Perry announced that the group’s album could be sold exclusively at Walmart stores.
There seems to be a new trend for bands to release new albums as Walmart exclusives. Previously, AC/DC released their Black Ice album and the Eagles released Long Road Out of Eden through the chain.
Additionally, Perry says that the group is disappointed that they didn’t finish their album at the time they anticipated, since Steven Tyler was suffering from pneumonia and Perry himself underwent knee surgery.
Aerosmith will hit the road with ZZ Top this summer. The tour begins in Maryland Heights, Missouri on June 10.
