The leader of the Babyshambles, Pete Doherty, used his recent trip to Portugal to record a batch of new songs.
According to the Portuguese blog, Diazepam05, Doherty was in Portugal for a solo gig and headed to Boom Studios in the city of Gaia to record a number of unreleased songs.
The singer brought the demos to the concert, which were recorded with an acoustic guitar and without any other musicians.
One of the songs, The Ballad of Grimaldi, was written in the early days of The Libertines, his former group with which he became famous.
It is not yet known if the songs will be on the next Babyshambles album or on a future solo album.
