Kylie Minogue’s Movie Star Dreams

Kylie Minogue regrets that she hasn’t made more films.

The Australian bombshell has one regret in her life: not having a proper acting career.

Minogue, who has been a sensation in Europe, Asia and Australia for years, would exchange some of her musical success for good film roles.

"I would love to do more movies. I really got waylaid and sidetracked. I started out as an actress and I thought that’s what I would do," admitted the singer.

Minogue, 40, began her career acting in an Australian soap opera. She also starred in some low-profile films, but what she remembers most is her experience with Nick Cave, when he casted her in a video for their duet, Where The Wild Roses Grow.

"(Cave) saw me in a totally different way, believed in me and had this idea and a vision for a number of years before he contacted me and we worked together and it was just absolutely perfect," she recounted.

The singer will kick off her North American tour this fall.
