The Hollywood Reporter stated that Keanu Reeves will play in the modern version of the story, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, by Robert Louis Stevenson.
Universal Pictures are developing a modern retelling of the classic story, whose details are being kept under wraps.
They did mention that Justin Haythe (Revolutionary Road) will write the screenplay.
The film will be called Jekyll and may be produced by Nicolas Winding Refn, who is currently under negotiations with the studio.
This story has been adapted to the big screen many times.
Keanu Reeves is currently filming his next movie, The Private Lives of Pippa Lee, with Robin Wright Penn, Julianne Moore, Winona Ryder, Mario Bello and Monica Bellucci. The release date for the movie has not been confirmed.
