Howie D. (Dorough) of the Backstreet Boys is the proud papa of a little boy, after his wife Leigh gave birth on Wednesday (May 6) in Los Angeles.
Little James Hoke Dorough was born at 2:30pm and weighed 4.5 pounds and measured 16 and a quarter inches.
James was not expected to arrive until June, however, he is in good health, revealed the couple’s spokesperson told People.
The baby was named after the singer’s father, Hoke, who died in June 2008 from lung and brain cancer.
The new parents announced the pregnancy last January. Howie also mentioned that his wife would make a wonderful mother.
"I know she’s going to be a great mother. If she can take care of me, the biggest baby in the entire world, I think she’s going to be okay with the little one coming along," he said.
