Filming for The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, starring Nicolas Cage, came to a screeching halt yesterday (May 4), after a stunt scene went wrong, causing two civilian injuries.
The scene involved a black Ferrari driving fast down the street, but it unfortunately slid on wet pavement and careened into a restaurant in Times Square, hurting two people.
The accident occurred at 1:00am, and the two victims were immediately taken to Bellevue Hospital. It was reported that their injuries were minor.
The Sorcerer’s Apprentice was inspired by the classic Disney film, Fantasia, and is set to open on July 16, 2010.
