Brüno Plays a Prank on Paula Abdul

Paula Abdul revealed that she was fooled by Sacha Baron Cohen to appear in his next film, Brüno.

During an interview on the Johnjay & Rich Show on 104.7 FM, Paula Abdul admitted that she had been set up by Sacha Baron Cohen for his upcoming film Brüno, opening July 10.

Abdul received a call informing her that she had won the Artist of the Year award in Germany.

Not only was she disappointed to find out that it wasn’t real, but she was uncomfortable when being presented with the award. Cohen, who plays a gay man from Austria in the movie, interviews Paula and asked a Mexican gardener to get down on all fours to make a seat for Abdul.

"I’m greeted by this futuristic, Captain Nemo–looking dude with a mohawk — and he’s flaming," Abdul describes.

A few weeks ago, when a journalist called her manager on the subject, she then realized that it was all rigged for Sacha Baron Cohen’s next flick.
