Variety reports that there may be a follow-up to Wall Street. Oliver Stone, who was at the helm of the first film in 1987, will once again direct the sequel with Michael Douglas returning to his role.
It was also mentioned that Shia LaBeouf is in negotiations to join the project, and that filming is set for the summer.
Once again, it follows a young Wall Street broker who will try to find his place in the greedy, corrupt system. The storyline will also touch upon the current economic crisis.
Michael Douglas won an Oscar for best actor for his role as Gordon Gekko.
In the meantime, Shia LaBeouf will next be seen in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, opening June 24.
