New Material from Gavin Rossdale

With or without his Bush cronies, Gavin Rossdale has new material and is ready to hit the studio.

Building off the success of his debut solo album, WANDERlust, Gavin Rossdale has other songs he wants to record in the near future, reports Billboard.com.

Rossdale has six or seven pieces that he’s already written. Ideally, he would prefer that these songs are featured on Bush’s next disc. He said, "I’m naturally a band person, so that would be my choice."

According to the singer, it’s up to Nigel Pulsford, one of the group’s guitarists, to decide where the songs will go. Pulsford decided to take a break in 2005 to spend time with family, and opted not to join the group. Rossdale explained, "He wanted to make the record, but he didn’t want to leave his family. So the solo record was by default."

Bush has not released an album since 2001’s Garden State.
