People reports that four jewellers are asking Rihanna to give back their merchandise. For Grammys night, Rihanna was loaned one million dollars worth of jewellery to wear to the gala.
However, at the last minute, the singer cancelled her performance booked for that evening, because she had allegedly been assaulted by Brown.
The jewels are still in the LAPD’s possession for their investigation of the incident.
"Since there appears to be no evidentiary value to the continued holding of this jewelry … we respectfully [ask] the court to order the return of this property to [Rihanna] without further delay," stated Dr. Donald Etra, the star’s attorney.
As for the Los Angeles police, no comment was given.
