Ian Anderson Plans to Tour

Ian Anderson is planning a tour to begin in September.

Anderson, who is best known as the flute player for the band Jethro Tull, will begin a solo tour this fall, reports NME.

Accompanied by a very small band, Anderson will perform the big hits of Jethro Tull in a unique, acoustic version.  The musician, who has also put out 4 albums as a solo artist, will also be playing his own music.

The tour, which includes only English cities for the time being, will feature several songs that were included on the 2007 album The Best of Acoustic Jethro Tull.  The disc includes a collection of music from more than 20 Jethro Tull albums.
