Warner Bros. has acquired the film rights to the Andrew Gottlied book of the same name.
Actor Steve Carell is in talks to star in the comedy, according to Variety.
Carell would play a man looking for meaning in his life after his wife files for divorce. The star may also be producing the project with his Carousel Productions partners, Vance DeGeneres and Charlie Hartsock.
In the meantime, Steve Carell will begin filming Date Night in the coming weeks with Tina Fey. The film should hit theatres next year.
