An autopsy was conducted by a New York doctor following the death of the 45-year-old actress. The results revealed that the star died from internal bleeding of the brain, or hemotoma, following impact to the head.
The incident took place on Monday (March 16), while Richardson was having a private ski lesson at Mont-Tremblant ski resort on a beginner slope.
Following her fall, the British star showed no signs of significant injury, and refused to be seen by a doctor. Only an hour later, Richardson began having headaches and nausea.
