The singer made a last-minute trip to New York over the weekend to discuss a few film projects, including a remake of the 1992 film, The Bodyguard, which starred Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner, reports the New York Daily News.
Rihanna would play Houston’s role in the film, which is reported to be a, “young and sexy take” on the original film. Actor Channing Tatum is being considered to play the male lead role.
In addition to that film, Rihanna is also in talks to star in a Charlie’s Angels film, as well as a role in a film with Justin Timberlake.
The Umbrella singer is currently working on her new album, which should be released before the end of the year.
