The Hollywood Reporter reveals that actor Jeff Goldblum (Man of the Year, Jurassic Park) will join Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman for the romantic comedy The Baster.
The film, which is set to shoot in spring, is based on an article written by Jeffrey Eugenbides, published in the New Yorker.
The story follows a man (Bateman), who finds out that his best girl friend (Aniston) wants to have a baby through artificial insemination. Secretly, he will exchange the sperm at the bank with his own. However, seven years later, his friend returns to New York with her son. How is he going to live with the fact that he is the boy’s biological father?
Goldblum will play Bateman’s character’s business partner.
The last film starring Jeff Goldblum was Adam Resurrected, which opened last December.
