The fourth instalment of the High School Musical franchise will come out next year with a new generation of East High School students.
The script will be written by Peter Barsocchini, who wrote the first three films, and the story will focus on the rivalry between the Wildcats of East High and their neighbours, the Knights of West High.
The third film was the first time High School Musical hit the big screen, and it earned $250 million at box offices worldwide. For the fourth television series, the former stars will be moving on to make way for new ones.
