A Director for the Green Hornet

Michel Gondry is the top pick to direct the film The Green Hornet.

French director Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Human Nature, Tokyo) is currently negotiating with Columbia Pictures to direct the film The Green Hornet.

The film is an adaptation of a television series starring Bruce Lee and Van Williams.
However, the story debuted on the radio in 1936 and also became the subject of a comic strip before making it to TV.

Seth Rogen and Stephen Crow will reportedly play main characters in the film.
Rogen also co-wrote the script with Evan Goldberg.

Filming is set to begin in the summer, and the film is scheduled to open on June 25, 2010.

Meanwhile, Michel Gondry has also signed on to direct Master of Space and Time, starring Jack Black. The film hits theatres in 2011.
