According to Variety, Watts will join Josh Brolin and Anthony Hopkins in the next Woody Allen film.
The project will be financed by Mediapro, the same company who brought us the Woody Allen flick, Vicky Cristina Barcelona. No details about the film’s plot have been revealed, which is typical for the New York filmmaker, who always keeps his projects a mystery.
Woody Allen’s next film, Whatever Works, will be released in June.
Naomi Watts is currently starring in The International, and will begin working on the drama Mother and Child with Samuel L. Jackson and Annette Bening. The film is expected to reach theatres in 2010.
