A New Screenwriter for Little Fockers

A new writer has been brought on board for the film Little Fockers.

After the success of Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers, earning more than $800 million at box offices worldwide, the next film of the franchise will be called Little Fockers.

The project was announced some time ago, but the screenplay delivered by Larry Stuckey was not approved.

Universal Pictures has hired John Hamburg, a long-time collaborator with Ben Stiller, and the man who also wrote the drafts for the first two films.

The new project will focus on the sons of the characters played by Ben Stiller and Teri Polo.  Stiller, Robert De Niro and Owen Wilson are all currently in negotiations to return to their respective roles.

Filming is set to begin next fall.
