Variety reports that Wilson and Rudd are currently in talks to share the screen with Reese Witherspoon in a new romantic comedy from James L. Brooks (The Simpsons Movie, Spanglish).
In addition to directing, Brooks will produce the project, for which he also wrote the screenplay. The film’s working title is How Go You Know?
Rudd would play a white collar executive who falls for Witherspoon’s character. Wilson would play a professional baseball player who falls for the same girl.
Filming is set to begin this summer.
In the meantime, we can next see Owen Wilson in Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian, opening in theatres on May 22.
