The actor who plays Richard Webber in the series, James Pickens Jr., revealed to Us Weekly that Heigl and Knight will no longer be starring on the show.
"Wherever Katherine goes, I wish her nothing but the best," revealed the actor.
Rumours had been circulating that Knight, who plays Dr. George O’Malley, wanted to leave the show and take his career in another direction.
Both stars didn’t hide their unhappiness with the series. Heigl openly criticised the show’s writers, while Knight was less than pleased about not having a lot of time in front of the camera.
