Gemma Arterton (Quantum of Solace), Eddie Marsan (Hancock) and Martin Compston (Wild Country) will star in the thriller The Disappearance of Alice Creed.
The story follows two kidnappers (Marsan and Compston) who go after a rich heiress (Arterton). However, things don’t go as planned when each person has their own ulterior motives, initiating a game of power, love, sex and violence.
This feature film marks the directorial debut for J. Blakeson, a short filmmaker and writer, who also co-wrote the film The Descent: Part 2.
Filming begins today (February 9) on the Isle of Man.
Gemma Arterton will be featured in a film expected out this year called The Boat That Rocked, and will also appear in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, hitting theatres on May 28, 2010.
