American sculptor Tom Patti is seeking justice and is accusing P. Diddy, a.k.a. Sean Combs, of plagiarising his works of art, Compacted Gray With Clear and Ribs and Modulated Solar Airframe, to create the Unforgivable fragrance bottle.
"A couple of years ago, my phone started ringing. Everywhere I went, people started congratulating me on the success of my fragrance container. I didn’t know what they were talking about. Eventually, I realized that Combs had replicated my work," the 65-year-old artist told the Boston Globe.
Patti hopes that the rapper will stop using his creations, and is asking for financial compensation for damages.
Unforgivable was quite successful in 2006, and was one of the highest-selling men’s fragrances.
