Producer Ricky Minor recently explained why Hudson did not perform the Star Spangled Banner live before the Super Bowl on Sunday (February 1).
According to Us Magazine, Minor said, "This was such an important performance, because it’s the first time everyone has seen Jennifer."
The producer added that Hudson made the recording herself. Minor added, "That’s the right way to do it. There’s too many variables to go live. I would never recommend any artist go live, because the slightest glitch would devastate the performance."
Hudson’s appearance, which was her first since the tragic murders of her mother, brother and nephew, was hailed by critics and fans.
