The group’s singer and bass player, Julian Casablancas and Nick Valensi, have already started working on songs for their new album, and plan on working with the rest of the band next month, reports NME.com.
Drummer Fabrizio Moretti recently revealed that plans for the studio recording of The Strokes’ fourth disc have not been finalised, but song writing has begun. Moretti explained, "Julian has started writing and Nick has got some material as well. We’re the kind of band that it’s not finished until everyone’s in one room and everyone’s got their parts perfectly. We’re a very mechanical band."
The band’s last album, First Impressions of Earth, was released in January 2006.
