Warner Bros. is adapting the popular animated television show into a film.
The two main characters, Tom and Jerry, will be immersed into a real-world environment, the same technique used in the film Alvin and the Chipmunks.
The movie will tell the story of how Tom and Jerry met, and soon became enemies. But when the pair gets lost in Chicago, they have to join forces in order to find their way home.
The characters were created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, and appeared on television from 1965 à 1972. The two were already featured in a film in 1992, called Tom and Jerry: The Movie.
