Coldplay and the Welsh singer, Duffy, are standouts in the nomination list this year. The BRIT Awards will take place on February 18, honouring artists in Britain’s music industry.
Duffy earned four nominations with her album Rockferry, in the best album, best female artist, best single, and breakthrough act.
Coldplay has chances to take home trophies for best album, for Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends, best group, best single, and best live act categories.
The AC/DC album, Black Ice, is competing for best international album, and Fleet Foxes, The Killers, Kings of Leon and MGMT are competing in the best international group category.
In the best male artist category we find Ian Brown, James Morrison, Paul Weller, Streets and Will Young. For the ladies, the nominees include Adele, Duffy, Beth Rowley, Estelle and M.I.A.
