Winfrey is in Washington, D.C. this week to attend the variety of events planned for the new president of the United States, Barack Obama, reports People.
Before the inauguration ceremony takes place today (January 20), Winfrey recorded her special yesterday with several celebrity guests.
The show’s guests include Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher, Usher, and the new vice president, Joe Biden and his wife, Jill. The show was shot at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
Winfrey said, "On this very special Martin Luther King Jr. holiday I can’t think of any place in the world I’d rather be than right here."
