R. Kelly officially divorced his wife, Andrea Lee, reports People.
The two were married in 1996, two years before Lee auditioned as one of the singer’s dancers. She then became the main choreographer for Kelly.
Their marriage experienced its ups and downs. In 2005, Lee even requested a restraining order, claiming she was a victim of domestic violence. The allegations were dropped a few weeks later.
In 2006, the couple petitioned for a divorce for the first time, but then decided to try to work things out.
The couple will share custody of their three children. No other details were revealed about their divorce.
