Actor Mickey Rourke will be directed by Sly Stallone in The Expendables, reports Variety.
Rourke will play an unscrupulous arms dealer who comes to the aid of a group of mercenaries who are trying to overthrow a South African dictator.
Stallone will also have a role in the film, which he wrote. Jason Statham, Jet Li, Randy Couture, Dolph Lundgren, Forest Whitaker and Ben Kingsley are also part of the cast. Filming is set to begin in Brazil in March.
Mickey Rourke, who recently starred in The Wrestler, will next be seen in the film Killshot, opening in theatres on January 23, and in The Informers, hitting theatres on May 1.
