Robert Plant was honoured by Queen Elizabeth II.

The Led Zeppelin frontman, Robert Plant, was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire, reports Starpulse.com.

The singer was honoured with the title by Queen Elizabeth II for his services to the music and entertainment industry, following a career filled with success.

Led Zeppelin became one of the most popular rock groups in the world.  They broke up in 1980, with more than 200 million albums sold.

Since the group’s split, Plant has pursued a solo career.
