Three years after jumping on Oprah Winfrey’s couch, making a video about his belief in Scientology, and criticizing Brooke Shields for having used medication for post-partum depression, Cruise now says that he has some regrets.
In 2005, Cruise talked with Matt Lauer on the Today Show, and strongly criticized Shields for using medication to deal with her depression. When the discussion became heated, Cruise stated that Lauer knows nothing about psychology.
Now, Cruise admits, "After looking at it, it’s not what I had intended. That’s one of those things that you go, ‘I could have handled that better. I didn’t communicate it the way that I wanted to communicate it. That’s not who I am."
