Paramount Pictures has hired Shia LaBeouf to star in the thriller The Associate by John Grisham (A Time to Kill, The Client).
LaBeouf will play a recent Yale law school graduate. He soon accepts a job at a prestigious law firm, where he is manipulated into doing illegal things during the course of a big trial.
We can also see LaBeouf in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, opening on June 26, 2009, and in New York, I Love You, which does not yet have a release date.
