Despite already being 27 and twice divorced, Spears hopes to be married again in the next five years.
"In five years I would like to be married and have a father figure for my kids, someone who is a provider and can be really stable," Spears told Glamour magazine.
The comment was followed by some criticism over Kevin Federline’s parenting skills. The mother of two boys, Sean Preston and Jayden James, added, "It’s hard doing it on your own."
Britney Spears is currently promoting the release of her new album, Circus.
