The actress requested a restraining court order against Steven Burky to prevent him from coming any closer to her and trying to make contact with her.
Garner claims that Burky has been harassing her since 2002, however over the course of the past year, his disruptive behaviour has begun to resurface. Allegedly, he delivers gifts to her, writes her letters filled with his paranoid delusions, shows up at her house and even follows her across the country.
Moreover, the actress’ bodyguard describes Burky as being crazy and agrees that he poses a threat to the star.
Garner says she fears for herself, but also for hubby Ben Affleck, their daughter Violet, and their unborn baby.
Burky is currently under involuntary psychiatric hold.
