Prince Gets Sued

A perfume company is suing Prince for breech of contract.

A perfume maker claims that Prince and his record label have not honoured a contract stipulating their participation in marketing a new fragrance named after the singer’s album, 3121, reports Starpulse.com.

The breech-of-contract lawsuit was filed on Monday (November 17) by Revelations Perfume and Cosmetics Inc. in New York.

The company claims that they had the authorisation to use Prince’s name, his image and the title of his album, 3121, to promote its fragrance.

Revelations paid $2.5 million US and agreed to give Universal half of the profits from the sale of the fragrance. However, they are now accusing Prince and Universal of not having participated in different promotional activities since the fragrance was launched in July 2007.
