The singer and guitarist for the Black Keys, Dan Auerbach, is taking time off from his group to release his first solo album early next year. He will then head on tour to promote the project, reports Billboard.com.
The 14-track album, entitled Keep It Hid, will be released on February 10 via Nonesuch.
The singer will begin his tour, including 11 concerts, on February 28 in Washington, D.C.
Auerbach said of his new material, "I write songs for the Black Keys, so some of them sound like they could be Black Keys songs. But some songs are just acoustic guitar."
