Slash is planning to release a new solo disc in 2009, and may possibly release a third album with Velvet Revolver, reports Billboard.com.
The guitarist revealed that his demo is practically finished, and he hopes to begin recording at the beginning of the year.
The musician began writing new material during his last tour with Velvet Revolver. He says that the songs reflect his days with both Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver, but don’t follow any particular path. Slash explained, "I just wanted to take a little bit of a break from all the politics and the democracy that is a band and just sort of do my own thing for a little bit. There will be a lot of stuff I don’t have the freedom to do in a band situation."
