Bell (Heroes), Davis (Sex and the City) and Akerman (Watchmen) have all joined the cast of the Universal comedy.
The screenplay, written by Jon Favreau (Iron Man), follows couples who are staying at a tropical island resort as part of their relationship therapy. One of the couples is determined to work on their marriage, while the others just want to have fun in the sun.
Vince Vaughn (The Break-Up), Jon Favreau (Iron Man), Jason Bateman (Hancock) and Faizon Love (The Perfect Holiday), star as the men in the film. The project will be directed by Peter Billingsley (The Sacred Fire), and filming will begin soon in Bora Bora and Los Angeles.
Kristen Bell will also star in Serious Moonlight, with Meg Ryan, and When in Rome. The two films will be released next year.
