Green Day revealed in a video released on the Internet that they are currently recording new material with Butch Vig, the former producer for Nirvana, reports NME.com.
The video shows the band’s lead singer, Billie Joe Armstrong, playing the guitar in the studio with Vig.
Green Day’s last album, American Idiot, was released in 2004. Earlier this year, the trio announced that the new album will be called Foxboro Hot Tubs.
