British singer M.I.A. finally confirmed to Pitchfork that she is expecting her first child.
The good news comes after the star’s new song, Paper Planes, hit the charts.
"When I found out I was pregnant and ‘Paper Planes’ was in the iTunes Top 10, it seemed like the whole world was reshuffled in one week, and all my plans went out the window," expressed M.I.A.
The songstress and future papa Ben Brewer, singer of the group The Exit, have not given any details regarding the baby’s sex, nor the due date.
In the meantime, M.I.A. is currently recording songs that could end up on her next album following Kala, released in 2007.
