Will.i.am confirmed to Billboard.com that the Black Eyed Peas are putting the finishing touches on The E.N.D., recorded at London’s Metropolis studio.
The album will be the band’s first release since 2005’s Monkey Business, which sold more than 4.2 million copies in the United States alone.
A release date for the Universal Music disc has not been set, but the label is hoping to make it happen soon. "They want it to come out soon but I don’t know if that’s the right thing," said Will.i.am.
Many believe that 2008 will be the last significant year for album sales, and that beginning in 2009, more music will be purchased through the Internet.
